Armed Robbery Suspect Turned Himself In to Sarasota Police

SARASOTA, Fla. September 5, 2013 –  11:30 AM

The armed robbery suspect seen on the surveillance video from the 7-11 located at 1702 N. Washington Blvd, Sarasota, Florida has turned himself in.  The video showed a black male entering the 7-11 on September 4, 2013 at approximately 5:30 AM.  A  7-11 store employee stated that the suspect demanded money and had a three foot stick in his possession. On September 4, 2013 at 11:30 PM, Fabian L. Morrison, black male, date of birth:  11/24/91, of Ocala Florida, showed up at the front desk of the Sarasota Police Department after seeing himself on the surveillance video that was played on the news that night. Morrison’s mother was also present when Morrison came to the Front Desk.   Fabian Morrison was interviewed by detectives and admitted he was the person on the video.  Morrison was charged with Armed Robbery and transported to the Sarasota County Jail.
