Traffic stop leads to firearm, ammunition & marijuana
Rashaad Williams, 21, of Sarasota, and Ke’Andre Walker, 20, of Sarasota, have both been arrested and are facing multiple charges following a traffic stop early Friday morning.

James Griffin, Jr. in Custody in Manatee County
James Griffin, Jr, 17, has turned himself into the Juvenile Assessment Center in Manatee County. This center is part of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. Griffin turned himself in shortly before 2 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019.

Marlette Allen, 34, of 18th Street, Sarasota, has been arrested and is facing charges of Strong Arm Robbery (felony) in connection to a robbery that was caught on camera on New Year’s Eve morning.

Arrest made in shooting involving Sarasota County Fire Department paramedics
Tyran Young, 32, is facing multiple felony charges in connection to a shooting that occurred in January 2019. Sarasota Police Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Goodrich Ave on January 7th, in Sarasota, after paramedics with SCFD reported being shot at during a call.

Suspect hospitalized for ingesting drugs during traffic stop
On Sunday, February 17, 2019, Govinda Howell, 40, of Sarasota, was arrested and is facing charges of Resisting a Law Enforcement Officer without Violence following a traffic stop where he ingested suspected narcotics.

On February 7, 2019, just after 12 p.m., an off-duty Sarasota Police officer was jogging at Payne Park, 2050 Adams Lane, Sarasota, when he noticed a homeless individual being harassed, pushed and hit by a group of teenagers.
